Developed through legislation that Bennett sponsored, the purpose of the task force is to help ensure high quality, clean drinking water for families in Central Illinois. Senate Bill 611, which creates the Mahomet Aquifer Task Force, was signed into law by Gov. Rauner on Aug. 25.
